Heroin - Health Hazards

Heroin is an abuse and a highly addictive morphine derivative which is also related with severe health problems regarding health of the person, spontaneous abortion, contagious diseases which include hepatitis and HIV/AIDS. Users injecting drug in them can lead to problems like fatal overdose and breakdown in veins and even the skin suddenly seems to get warm and the mouth becomes dry. Heroin addiction is increasing at a faster rate in young youths and there short-run consequences can be seen in the youths when they take a single dose and after four to five hours it disappears.

The mental working of a person becomes low due to the depression in the nervous system. The users those who are addicted to this problem from a long time experience symptoms such as infection in the heart valves and lining, abscesses, liver diseases, some complications in the lungs which includes pneumonia and the abuser will have pathetic health conditions. In this case the person must be send to the Heroin rehab center for the proper physiological treatment and for other medications.

Heroin abuse includes some pregnancy problems and the environmental factors that affect it lack of antenatal care which relates to the consequences like low weight at the time of birth. Street heroin contains additives that don’t dissolve readily into blood due to which the blood gets blocked in the vessels that leads to brain, lungs and can cause infection which in case can damage  the cells of different organs.
